THE PLANTS IS A SITE-SPECIFIC MUSICAL INSTALLATION THAT INVITES PARTICIPANTS TO CREATE THEIR OWN MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS USING UNIQUE DIGITAL INSTRUMENTS... PLANTS!

By touching the leaves on these plants you activate a micro computer that triggers sounds developed by the composer Cayn Borthwick. As you explore The Plants you create the musical experience for yourself as well as those around you.

Current playable street capacitive touch device uses a raspberry pi capacitive touch kit or other touch based kit which can only output trigger signal when being touched. The interest is to explore the possibility of different ways of interactions which will result in changing of sound (pitch/MIDI CC).
