Possibilities & Reflections

Current system responds to both hand interaction and full body interaction, apart from the previous demo, the device can be interacted through objects and foot stepping on it.

Non-contact interactions:

In the demo above, water is used to increase the range of induction. This property can be used to build large scale installation, a larger electric field can be created and people can be involved in the interaction via induction - non contact interaction.

Explore surroundings:

The device can not only be activated externally but also as a wearable. When contact is made, the human body becomes the electrode. By touching day to day objects(mainly grounded), a sound can be triggered. See demo above.

Body interaction - foot:

Standing on the ground will complete the cycle of electricity loop allows the system to work. However common ground can also be used as part of the interaction, for instance jump. When the feet both leave the ground the system is opened and no sound is made. Thus, jump can be a way of interaction in this project, as shown above.
