VIDI
This prototype is an experimental object that explores the tonal quality of the visual world by converting visual imagery to sound. It uses K-means clustering machine learning algorithm in OpenCV, generating MIDI nodes from a Raspberry Pi mounted with a Raspberry Pi Camera. This is all contained in a custom 3D-printed enclosure designed. I chose to engage with this topic due to my strong interest in computer vision and synthesizers.
This project got exhibited at MDIT 'Next Exhibition' in 2019 semester 2.
